DESCRIPTION:Meetings: The second Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm\nContact: coryriordan@tremontwest.org\n\nPlease check with Cory Riordan to confirm the meeting time and location. \nThe Safety Committee is responsible for developing and implementing programs designed to make the Tremont neighborhood a safe place to work\, live and visit.  The Committee hosts an annual Living Well in Lincoln Park event. \nResponsibilities: \n\nStrive for and promote a safe environment for existing and prospective residents and businesses.\nIdentify and address areas of low or no visibility of street signage/signals and for lighting.\nMonitor court cases related to Tremont crimes and advocate for strict sentencing through writing letters\, appearing in court\, etc.\nLead physical enhancement initiatives to improve safety\, including identifying and removing graffiti\, creating murals\, removing litter\, etc.\nMaintain a positive and productive relationship with the Police Commander of the local police district.\nEnlist Safety Coordinator to provide a quarterly report on safety trends and recent issues.\nDevelop programs and initiatives that improve the overall safety and livability of Tremont.\nProvide an open and transparent environment for discussing and addressing safety issues.

Making these performances available free of charge brings to those who could not ordinarily afford the price of a theater ticket\, the experience of audience and actor communing through the contemporary performance of classic literature. We believe that the power and inspiration of live theater has a positive impact on every life it touches. It is our desire to share this amazing gift with the communities we\, as artists\, call our home. SUMMARY:Arts in August | Cleveland Public Theatre - STEP
DESCRIPTION:CPT’s Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP) is a rigorous arts-based program that provides hands-on job training\, engaging Cleveland youth from families defined as low-income in a powerful learning experience that develops job skills\, academic achievement\, and interpersonal skills. As part of this eight-week summer program\, 30 youth\, ages 14-19\, work together to create\, produce\, perform\, and tour their own play. This program is the longest-running arts-based\, workplace development program in Cleveland and is an international model for engaging youth. Since its beginning in 1994\, STEP has received multiple awards and recognitions including those from the City of Cleveland\, The President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities\, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Through STEP\, teens see themselves as a positive and inspirational force\, and watch as their work has an impact on the larger Cleveland community. STEP will be coming to Tremont’s Lincoln Park as part of the Arts in August weekend series.
