DESCRIPTION:Meetings: The second Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm\nContact: coryriordan@tremontwest.org\n\nPlease check with Cory Riordan to confirm the meeting time and location. \nThe Safety Committee is responsible for developing and implementing programs designed to make the Tremont neighborhood a safe place to work\, live and visit.  The Committee hosts an annual Living Well in Lincoln Park event. \nResponsibilities: \n\nStrive for and promote a safe environment for existing and prospective residents and businesses.\nIdentify and address areas of low or no visibility of street signage/signals and for lighting.\nMonitor court cases related to Tremont crimes and advocate for strict sentencing through writing letters\, appearing in court\, etc.\nLead physical enhancement initiatives to improve safety\, including identifying and removing graffiti\, creating murals\, removing litter\, etc.\nMaintain a positive and productive relationship with the Police Commander of the local police district.\nEnlist Safety Coordinator to provide a quarterly report on safety trends and recent issues.\nDevelop programs and initiatives that improve the overall safety and livability of Tremont.\nProvide an open and transparent environment for discussing and addressing safety issues.

DESCRIPTION:Meetings: The first Thursday of the month\, 6:30 pm\nContact: coryriordan@tremontwest.org to get access information to the virtual meeting.\n\nPlease check with Cory Riordan to confirm the meeting time and location. \nThe Economic Development Committee guides Tremont West in establishing a vision\, goals\, and a plan for land use in the neighborhood; and oversees housing and development programs of the organization. \nResponsibilities: \n\nAdopt clear and consistent procedures for regular meetings to afford architects\, builders\, and other development professionals reasonable opportunities to include their desired items for review.\nProvide architects\, builders\, property owners\, and other development professionals specific details on their reporting and presentation responsibilities to Tremont block clubs\, the Committee\, and Tremont West board.\nReceive presentations from architects\, builders\, property owners\, and other development professionals on proposed projects\, identifying concerns\, barriers\, hurdles\, etc.\, and documenting feedback from Committee members during meetings.\nPromote and guide discussions on community business and development issues that impact Tremont residents\nWork with Tremont West staff to identify and resolve issues that affect the integrity\, security\, and safety of area businesses and residential structures.\nAdopt and make recommendations on select development and housing issues to the Tremont West Board of Directors for its approval.

SUMMARY:Tremont History Project
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Martin Luther Slovak Evangelical Lutheran Church was founded in 1910 at 2139 West 14th Street to serve the needs of Lutheran Slovaks living in the Tremont area.  Construction of the Innerbelt Bridge led to the razing of the church building and the relocation of the congregation to a new home on Ridge Road in 1958.  The church rectory building was moved across the street and south to the property of what is currently St. Andrew Kim Korean Catholic Church. \nTremont History Project will resume monthly open meetings on the third Saturday of each month at 10am\, meeting in-person while also offering remote/Zoom participation as well.  The November 20th meeting will be held at Cleveland Public Library South Branch location\, 3096 Scranton Road.  Please call 216-272-5046 or email tremonthistoryproject@gmail.com for any questions or to request a Zoom meeting link or dial-in details.
