The Committee hosts an annual Living Well in Lincoln Park event. \nResponsibilities: \nStrive for and promote a safe environment for existing and prospective residents and businesses.\nIdentify and address areas of low or no visibility of street signage/signals and for lighting.\nMonitor court cases related to Tremont crimes and advocate for strict sentencing through writing letters\, appearing in court\, etc.\nLead physical enhancement initiatives to improve safety\, including identifying and removing graffiti\, creating murals\, removing litter\, etc.\nMaintain a positive and productive relationship with the Police Commander of the local police district.\nEnlist Safety Coordinator to provide a quarterly report on safety trends and recent issues.\nDevelop programs and initiatives that improve the overall safety and livability of Tremont.\nProvide an open and transparent environment for discussing and addressing safety issues.

DESCRIPTION:Volunteers working with the Tremont Gardeners have prepared the park for a fun and busy summer. Over the past several weeks\, they have pulled weeds\, planted\, and pruned. They also removed a dead tree from one of the gazebo beds\, replacing it with a new Dogwood tree\, which is already blooming!\nThe new plantings\, the tree\, and other gardening supplies were made possible through a successful spring fundraiser (the Tremont Gardeners’ online flower sale)\, a generous donation from the employer of one of our gardener’s\, Blackbaud Inc.\, and donations made in honor of a deceased neighbor who loved the park.\nTo help keep the park looking beautiful this summer\, please plan to join Tremont gardeners Yvonne Bruce and Denise Kadilak for an organized monthly cleanup 6-7 p.m. the second Monday of each month: July 11th\, August 8th\, and September 12th.

It is simple to participate–there are no requirements other than your garden should show effort and be something you are proud of (does not have to be perfect\, works in progress OK). Your garden can be some or all flowers\, vegetables\, fruits\, ponds\, bees\, and/or art. Gardens do NOT need to be fancy\, new gardeners are encouraged to participate–interesting and unique gardens of all types are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Tremont History Project is participating in the 2022 Cleveland History Days! On Monday\, June 27th from 4-5:30pm\, Tremont History Project presents “Tremont’s Lincoln Park Mural: Public Art\, Local History\, & Inclusive Community Engagement” at Lincoln Park. During this free program\, Tremont History Project introduces artist/project organizer Angelica Pozo who will showcase this expansive tile mural installation featuring dozens of original illustrations of historic landmarks\, explain the process of inclusive community engagement\, and discuss collaboration with local artists in celebrating community history.\nAdditional Tremont events for 2022’s Cleveland History Days include an Open House at the Ukrainian Museum-Archives (1202 Kenilworth Ave.) on Monday\, June 27th from 4-8:30pm; and a ‘Take-A-Hike’ walking tour on Monday\, June 27th from 6-7:30pm (starting at Sideyard Park\, 1370 Abbey Ave.).
