Tremont is filled with attractions, from award-winning restaurants and festivals to historic churches and a vibrant nightlife.

Tremont is a great place to support local businesses and independent shops while enjoying a day in our charming and welcoming neighborhood. Tremont offers entertainment for all age groups and backgrounds, whether you live here or are just visiting for the day.

Dining & Drinking

Tremont has diverse, independent, chef-owned and fine-dining restaurants. Simply put, Tremont is delicious. Thanks to well-known chefs like Michelin-starred Dante Bocuzzi, James Beard rising star nominee Rocco Whalen, James Beard semi-finalist Zack Bruell and other renowned chefs turning out inventive cuisine and modern spins on classic dishes, the eclectic eats in Tremont are what make it a food mecca of the Midwest. In fact, cafeteria-style Sokolowski’s is the recipient of a James Beard “American Classics” award.

Shops & Galleries

Tremont offers exceptional shopping and gallery experiences throughout the walkable neighborhood. Spend a day browsing our galleries, cafes, boutiques, book and record shops while supporting independently owned and operated businesses. You won’t find chain stores here, just unique places like the Banyan Tree and Evie Lou for fashionable apparel and gifts. Explore one-of-a-kind furnishings and artwork at Grain and Rook Modern. Browse records while you sip a cup of coffee at Loop, or grab a glass of wine and peruse new and used books at Visible Voice.

Towpath Trail & Parks

Tremont is the only Cleveland neighborhood along the Towpath Trail. Tremont also offers many outdoor parks that create meaningful opportunities for both visitors and residents. Whether you are enjoying time with your family or furry friend, check out Tremont for a day filled with adventure.

Worship

Tremont’s rich history of immigrants has contributed to the development of a variety of remarkable churches throughout the neighborhood. Tremont is home to 26 distinct churches within one square mile, which is the largest concentration of historic churches in the U.S. Tremont also offers community organizations that strengthen the community.

Cultural Attractions

Tremont has a rich history that we continue to celebrate today. Tremont was home to the first art gallery in the City of Cleveland, the only residence and gallery that today houses a wellness center. Tremont is also home to two museums: Ukrainian Museum Archives, which holds the largest collection of Ukrainian archives, art and artifacts outside of Ukraine, and A Christmas Story House and Museum, where movie and pop-culture is highlighted.

Festivals & Events

The Tremont community comes to life during our year-round events ranging from the delicious Taste of Tremont to the festive A Christmas Story House 5K and 10K. Our events showcase who we are as a community by capturing our rich history, creative spirit and vibrant culture. Our free events unify our neighborhood, support local businesses and allow people from other neighborhoods to experience Tremont. To find upcoming events, use the Event Calendar to stay in the loop with opportunities you will not want to miss!
