Why Tremont?

I like not only the diversity of Tremont, but also the beauty and character of the neighborhood

What’s your favorite memory in Tremont?

There are so many but one that comes to mind is the blackout in 2003. It was sort of spooky but my friends and I hunkered down by candlelight at the Flying Monkey to ride it out.

If you could improve something about Cleveland what would it be?

Its reputation! Both by residents and those outside the city. I tell people all the time, I don’t have to live in Cleveland, I choose to live in Cleveland. But otherwise, I would like to see the city move a bit faster on development opportunities as other major cities do.

What does community mean to you?

Community to me means people watching each others back, being great neighbors, and being kind and respectful. Bringing back the old, “Can I borrow a cup of sugar?” mentality.

What’s Tremont’s best kept secret?

I am a pretty social person and get out quite a bit. Hotz is a great spot that doesn’t get overrun with suburbanites where you can have a cold beer and have a few laughs.
