Cash & Check donations have tripled from this time last year:      $40,741 (2020/2021) compared to $13,567 (2019/2020) – an outpouring of generosity from our neighborhoods! This is an increase of 200% in the Donation Growth Rate from last season – and the most money raised in cash/checks in any of the Holiday Food Drives!

Food Items (canned goods & non-perishable items) are around 3/4 of last year’s:    1,099 (2020/2021) compared to 1,487 (2019/2020)historically most food items are gathered through Holiday Parties and door-to-door efforts – both precluded this year by COVID-19 concerns and restrictions

  • Michael/St. Prokop Food Pantry
  • Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry
  • Westside Catholic Center
  • Malachi Parish “Back Door Ministry”
  • Greater Cleveland Food Bank

Round 1 donations were delivered to the food pantries before Christmas, 2020. Round 2 donations (to help food pantries re-stock in the new year) will be delivered to food pantries by week’s end.

Grand Prize Competition – the Block Club Winner of the friendly completion between block clubs is: North of Literary (23,267 points) – the most points by a block club in the history of the competition. Congrats, North of Literary!!!!

The winning block club in this Grand Prize competition, North of Literary Block Club, will receive a $100 cash prize, awarded by Tremont West.

  • Points are derived by doubling the cash/check figure and adding food items – this determines eligibility for Grand Prize Contest competition (Rounds 1 & 2)
  • All Block Club Teams and the Tremont West Staff Team increased in overall donations given this season! While the Donation Growth Rate was 200% cumulatively for the Holiday Food Drive –  individual block clubs’ donations grew in a range between 16%  to an astounding 1,294%!
